Each year as part of the Kyogle Billycart Bonanza we will be holding ‘Schools Challenge Races’. The Schools races are open to any school on the NSW far north coast. We would love for your school to participate by entering a cart and joining in on the day. We are sure it will be a great learning and team-building opportunity for your students. Maybe someone on your staff or P & C committee has some cart-building skills to assist in this project. Some schools have incorporated billycart building as part of their technology classes or students work on their school billycarts at lunchtime.
Entry forms must be submitted by a school representative on the day of the event along with payment of the entry fees. The entry fee is $20 per driver (passengers and crew are free). Receipts will be issued.
To support our local schools, we have over $1000 of prize money. See the details below. Prize money will be awarded to the winning schools, not the driver. Payment will be made by cheque in the weeks following the event.
